Refund Policy

Last updated Oct 15, 2026

Payments for ParsedMail subscriptions are final. We refund only a duplicate charge caused by our billing, a proven unauthorized charge, or a period in which the service failed completely. You can try the service for free first with the homepage demo and the 10-email sandbox, and you can cancel renewals at any time.

Try first, then pay

Before you buy, the homepage demo lets you parse a sample email without an account, and after confirming your email address you get a one-time sandbox of 10 emails with the real dashboard, schema editor and JSON output. The pricing page lists every limit and feature of each plan. Together these let you judge whether ParsedMail fits your emails before any payment.

Why payments are final

A subscription buys access to the service, with its limits, for a monthly or yearly period. That access starts in full the moment the period begins, whether or not you send any emails during it. For that reason, the amount paid for a period that has started is not returned, except in the cases listed below.

Consumers in the European Union

If you buy as a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. At checkout you ask us to start the service immediately and confirm that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has begun. When you give that consent and the subscription starts, the right of withdrawal expires. Businesses buying for professional use do not have this right.

Situations that do not lead to a refund

  • You changed your mind or no longer need the service.
  • You used little or none of your allowance during the period.
  • A renewal was charged because the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You expected a one-time payment. Every plan is a recurring subscription, as stated on the pricing page, at checkout and in the confirmation email.
  • You are not satisfied with an extracted value. Results come from a language model, carry a confidence score and can be checked before use; the demo and sandbox exist to judge quality first.
  • A feature does not work the way you assumed, where the pricing page and documentation did not describe it that way.
  • Your emails or attachments were unreadable, encrypted, corrupted or outside the supported formats.
  • You chose the wrong plan or billing period. You can move to a higher plan at any time, and a lower plan from the next period.
  • The remainder of a period after you cancel. Access continues until the period ends and is not prorated.
  • Someone you gave access to, or shared credentials with, used the account.

The three exceptions

  1. Duplicate charge. You were charged twice for the same period because of an error in our billing.
  2. Proven unauthorized charge. Your card was used without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and the transaction records held by us and by the payment operator confirm it. A statement alone is not sufficient.
  3. Total service failure. A confirmed fault on our side made the service completely unusable for a continuous stretch, you reported it while it was happening, and we could not fix it. Slower processing, partial issues, or problems with your own systems, endpoints or network do not count.

An approved refund covers at most the amount actually paid for the affected period, goes back to the original payment method only, and is the full extent of our responsibility for that case.

How to ask for a refund

Write to [email protected] from the address of the account owner within 14 days of the charge. Include the workspace name, the date and amount of the charge and which exception applies. Requests sent later or by other routes are not considered. We review requests in the order they arrive.

Cancelling and renewals

The account owner can cancel at any time under Billing in the dashboard, without writing to us. Cancelling stops all future renewals straight away and does not refund the current period; you keep full access until it ends. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date shown in the dashboard.

Once a new period has begun, its payment is due. If the first attempt fails, the payment operator retries the same invoice over the following days. Those retries are not new charges, and cancelling during them stops later renewals but does not cancel the invoice for the period already started.

Records we keep and chargebacks

For every subscription we keep the date and time of purchase, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms of service and of this policy, the confirmation and renewal emails, and the account activity log (sign-ins, emails received and parsed, API calls, webhook deliveries). The payment operator keeps its own record, including the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Claims are assessed against these records.

If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first. Opening a chargeback without doing so breaches the terms of service; we then provide these records to the card issuer and close the account.
