Terms of Service

Last updated Oct 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of the parsedmail.com service, an email parsing service that turns incoming emails into structured data. The service is provided by the administrator of the parsedmail.com service, reachable at [email protected]. By creating an account or using the API you accept these terms, the privacy policy and the refund policy.

Accounts and workspaces

You need an account to use the dashboard and API. You must give a working email address, confirm it with the code we send, and keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account and keys, including by people you invite to your workspace in the owner, admin, member or reviewer roles. If you create an account for an organization, you confirm that you may bind it to these terms. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

Plans, limits and how usage is counted

The service is sold as a subscription, monthly or yearly, on the plans listed on the pricing page. Each plan sets limits for emails, attachment pages, inboxes and seats per billing period.

  • Usage is counted as consumption during the billing period. Each email accepted for parsing counts once, and attachment pages count toward the page allowance.
  • Deleting an email, an inbox or a schema does not give back quota already used. The allowance resets at the start of the next period.
  • Duplicates, blocked senders, forwarding confirmation emails and replays of an already counted email are not counted.
  • When a limit is reached, parsing pauses and new emails are stored with status over_limit until the next period or an upgrade.

There is no free plan. The one-time homepage demo and the one-time sandbox of 10 emails exist so you can try the service before paying.

Acceptable use

You may only send emails to the service that you are entitled to process, for example emails addressed to you or your organization, or emails you have a lawful basis to handle. You must not use the service to:

  • send, relay or support spam, phishing or bulk unsolicited messages,
  • process unlawful content, or content you have no right to process,
  • infringe the privacy, intellectual property or other rights of others,
  • probe, overload or bypass the limits and security of the service, or resell it without our written permission,
  • build a competing dataset by systematic extraction of the service's outputs about other customers.

We may suspend an inbox, endpoint or account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why.

API and webhooks

The REST API and webhooks are part of the service. API keys are scoped (read, parse, write) and rate limited, currently to 120 requests per minute per workspace. Webhooks are sent only to https endpoints on public hosts and are signed with a per-endpoint secret; verifying the signature is your responsibility. Failed deliveries are retried on the published schedule. We may change the API with notice, and we keep breaking changes for a new version where possible. Technical details are in the documentation.

Your data

You keep all rights to the emails you send and to the structured data the service produces from them. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: receive, store, read and transform the emails, and deliver the results where you instruct. We do not use your emails to train language models. Raw emails are kept for the retention period of your plan and then deleted; extracted JSON stays until you delete it or close the account. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the personal data inside the emails you send. Scale customers can sign a data processing agreement.

Results produced by AI

Values are extracted by a language model and come with a confidence score. They can be wrong or missing, especially when the email is ambiguous or a scan is unreadable. You are responsible for checking results before relying on them for payments, legal or other important decisions, for example by using confidence filters or the review queue.

Availability

We work to keep the service available at all times and to process emails within seconds. On the Scale plan we target 99.9 percent monthly availability. This is a target and not a guarantee, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Emails that arrive during an interruption are stored and processed when the service is back.

Payments, renewals and plan changes

  • Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay, together with the billing period. Taxes are added where the law requires.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancelling in the dashboard stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Moving to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly billing, is charged right away for the difference, pro rata for the rest of the current period, and the new plan starts once that payment succeeds.
  • Moving to a lower plan takes effect from the next period, without a refund for the current one.
  • Payments are final, as described in the refund policy. A chargeback raised without first contacting us is a breach of these terms.

Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time in the dashboard. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts the service or other customers at risk; where the situation allows, we warn you first and give you time to export your data. After closing, data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as described on the website and in the documentation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data that you could have kept by yourself, or decisions taken on the basis of extracted values. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event that caused it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights a consumer has under mandatory law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. Material changes are sent by email to account owners at least 14 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the administrator's seat, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where a consumer lives. Disputes go to the competent courts under those laws. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
