Monday.com email parser integration for orders and leads
A monday.com email parser integration turns each order, lead or request email into an item on your board with the values already in the right columns. ParsedMail has no native monday.com app. Forward the emails to a ParsedMail inbox, and every parsed email is posted as signed JSON to a receiver that creates or updates the item, such as a Zapier, Make or n8n scenario or a small endpoint that calls the monday.com API.
Parse an email above, then compare plans and pricing or read the API docs.
How an email parser feeds a monday.com board
monday.com is where many teams track work, but the work often starts in an inbox. A wholesale partner emails a purchase order, a directory sends an inquiry, a supplier confirms a ship date. Someone has to read it and type it into the board. Monday's own email tools can attach a message to an item, but they do not read the order total or the requested quantity out of the text and put them in separate columns.
ParsedMail does that step. A language model reads the email and its attachments against the fields you described, and posts the result as an email.parsed event. The email object is data, the extracted fields are data.data.*, the email ID is data.id, and data.confidence_avg and data.needs_review say whether to trust the values. Deliveries are signed with HMAC-SHA256, carry an Idempotency-Key header and are retried 5 times over about 15 hours. The webhook documentation has the full payload.
What a board looks like after the parser
| Board | Fields from the email | What the team gets |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | customer, order number, items, total, ship date | One item per order, ready to assign and track |
| Leads | name, company, phone, request, source | New items in the sales board within a minute of the notification |
| Client requests | sender, request type, priority, deadline | Requests sorted by priority instead of by arrival time |
| Vendor invoices | vendor, invoice number, amount, due date | Approval items with the amount and due date filled in |
For the field choices behind each board see order email parsing, lead email parsing and invoice email parsing.
Ways to connect ParsedMail to monday.com
- Zapier, Make or n8n. Catch the webhook, then use the monday.com action to create an item and fill the columns. See the Zapier, Make and n8n guides. This is the fastest route and needs no code.
- Your own endpoint. Verify the signature, then call the monday.com GraphQL API to create an item. This suits teams that already run an integration service and want full control over column mapping.
- A review step first. Branch on
data.needs_review. Confident emails create items directly, and the rest wait in the ParsedMail review queue, which is on Growth and Scale.
Store data.id in a text column and check it before creating an item. Retries are rare but real, and a lookup on the stored ID keeps the board free of duplicates.
What it costs for a board fed by email
Webhooks work on Starter, Growth and Scale. Starter is $49 a month or $24 billed yearly for 1,000 emails and 300 attachment pages. Growth is $149 a month or $74 yearly for 5,000 emails with the review queue. Compare that with the minutes spent typing each email into a board: at three minutes an email, 600 emails a month is 30 hours of data entry. See pricing for every limit. Scanned PDFs and images are read as images on paid plans, which matters for supplier confirmations sent as attachments.
