Airparser alternative with a lower cost per email
The best Airparser alternative for email-heavy work is a parser that bills per email rather than per credit. Airparser charges one credit per email and one per PDF page, so 1,000 plain emails a month already need its 2,000 credit Business plan at $149 a month billed yearly. ParsedMail covers the same 1,000 emails, plus 300 attachment pages, for $24 a month billed yearly. Try a sample email before you read on.
Who should look for an Airparser alternative
Airparser is a capable tool. It reads emails, PDFs, scans, images and even handwriting with language models, lets you describe fields in plain language, and has a human review step and Python post-processing. If you are happy with it, the switching cost is not worth it.
Teams usually start looking for three reasons:
- The bill grows with email volume. Credits are counted per email and per document page. A lead form notification and a 3 page purchase order cost 1 and 4 credits, and unused credits expire at the end of each billing period.
- Developers want stricter delivery. When parsed data feeds an ERP or CRM directly, you want signed webhooks, idempotency keys and replay of any email from the log or the API.
- Numbers for every field. Holding a whole document for review is useful. A confidence score per field lets your own code decide which values to trust and which to route to a person.
If none of these apply, stay where you are. If one does, the comparison below shows what changes.
Airparser pricing at real email volumes
Airparser lists four paid plans, billed yearly, on its pricing page in October 2026: Starter at $33 a month for 100 credits, Growth at $49 for 500 credits, Business at $149 for 2,000 credits and Premium at $249 for 5,000 credits. Monthly billing costs about 17 percent more. There is also a trial with 20 credits a month. One credit is one email, one PDF page, one image or one HTML document.
ParsedMail counts emails and attachment pages separately. An email with no attachment uses no pages at all. Here is what the same workloads cost on the yearly prices of both tools:
| Monthly workload | Airparser (credits needed, plan) | ParsedMail (plan) |
|---|---|---|
| 400 lead notifications, no attachments | 400 credits, Growth at $49 | Starter at $24 (1,000 emails, 300 pages) |
| 1,000 order emails, no attachments | 1,000 credits, Business at $149 | Starter at $24 |
| 800 supplier emails with a 2 page PDF invoice | 2,400 credits, Premium at $249 | Growth at $74 (5,000 emails, 2,000 pages) |
| 4,000 booking emails, a few attachments | Over 4,000 credits, Premium at $249 | Growth at $74 |
| 3,000 one page scanned delivery notes | 6,000 credits, above Premium | Scale at $249 (25,000 emails, 10,000 pages) |
The gap is widest when the data lives in the email body: order confirmations, form notifications, booking emails, carrier updates. It narrows when every email carries a long PDF, because then both tools are effectively counting pages. Check your own mix: count last month's emails and attachment pages and run them through both pricing pages. All of our limits are on the pricing page.

Where Airparser is the better choice
Being fair about this saves you a migration you do not need.
- Most of your input is not email. If staff upload files by hand or documents come from a scanner, a document-first tool with a good upload flow fits better.
- Handwriting and many languages. Airparser explicitly supports handwritten text and more than 60 languages.
- You want to transform data inside the parser. Python post-processing with a code assistant is a real strength for teams without their own backend.
- Volume is tiny. Under 100 documents a month, Airparser Starter at $33 is a small line item, and its trial covers 20 credits a month.
If your work is mostly heavy, scanned paperwork arriving outside email, such as archived contracts or forms from a mailroom, a dedicated enterprise document OCR platform is a closer fit than either email parser.
Other Airparser alternatives worth testing
Three other tools come up in almost every shortlist. Each has a clear profile:
- Parseur is document-first and prices per page, from 49 EUR a month for 100 pages to 499 EUR for 10,000 pages according to its pricing page in October 2026. Strong when every email carries a long PDF. Our side by side is on the Parseur alternative page.
- Mailparser uses parsing rules and templates and prices per email, from $29.95 a month for 250 emails. Predictable for a few machine-generated layouts, more upkeep when senders change. See the Mailparser alternative comparison.
- Zapier Email Parser is included in Zapier and works with templates you mark up by hand. It does not read PDFs. Details on the Zapier Email Parser alternative page.

How to switch from Airparser in an afternoon
- One inbox per Airparser inbox. Create a ParsedMail inbox for each workflow. Each gets an address such as
[email protected]. - Copy the field list. Use the same field names you export today, so your Google Sheet columns, CRM mappings or webhook handler keep working.
- Test on real samples. Paste 10 to 20 recent emails into the schema test in the dashboard and compare the JSON with what Airparser produced.
- Forward in parallel for a week. Add the ParsedMail address as a second forward or BCC. Watch the confidence scores and adjust field descriptions where a value is weak.
- Move the destination. Point your inbound email webhook, Zap or Make scenario at ParsedMail, then remove the Airparser forward.
Nothing needs DNS changes, and the old setup keeps running until you switch it off.
The short version
Choose Airparser when your documents arrive in many forms, include handwriting, or need Python clean-up inside the tool. Choose a per-email parser when the data sits in email bodies, volume is in the hundreds or thousands a month, and you want signed, replayable webhooks with a confidence score on each field. To see the difference on your own mail, run one real email through the ParsedMail demo and compare the JSON with your current output.
